Digital Twins and 4D BIM

Construction is a cyclical and highly competitive industry with exceptionally tight profit margin. It is critical for the industry players to reduce failure costs and increase efficiency. One key solution to this is by constructing a digital twin of the asset. Buildings that are comprehensively planned, tested, and optimized digitally before construction begins, offer more safety and security as well as greater operating efficiency. Merging BIM and 4D-scheduling tools will help validate the accuracy of planned sequences within the schedule. And all this can be done virtually! Organized by Ballast Nedam, the session will highlight the importance of digital planning with 4D BIM and deliberate on why digital twins should be made a standard practice in building and infrastructure projects.
